Dear Buggies, This years Sydney Road Street Festival will be held on January 28th. The Moreland BUG organized a stall, bike parking and bike mechanical service (a big thank you to Huw and his team at Commuter Cycles!). The only thing we need are some volunteers to help out at the stall and the bike parking. The festival starts at noon and finishes around 7.00 pm. If you want to give a hand (as little as one hour is enough) please email me and let me know your preferred time you would like to help and also if you would like to help ...
These great lidded jars are by Kaye Poulton. The dogs used as handles look like they're guarding the contents.
Our first visit to Court Jester was such a success that when Gem from the excellent Soupurban suggested a Brunswick brunch, there was only one place we wanted to visit. Things were a little busier than our first trip, suggesting that word is gradually spreading, but we still snared a four-person section of the big communal table without any trouble. The menu isn't massive, so Cindy went straight back to the blintzes which had so wowed her last time. Alas, by 10:30 or so there wasn't a blintz left in the place. The waiter was quick to suggest ...
I like to believe that J and I are like any other married couple out there. We can get under each other's skin very easily, but we also have many days where we are all cuddly - you know - that couple you see on the street holding hands and trying to be all secret about their PDAs. I've also never been one to celebrate Valentine's Day. Bah Humbug! But this past Sunday was different. J got up and made me a fabulous soy flat white, handed me that and a little gift... !!!! Awwwwww!!! I know!!!!Yes. Those are EXACTLY ...

Who buys novelty dog-face mugs? Perhaps the shop owner who has this displayed in their shop window realizes the impracticality of such a mug, which has such a wide lip it would be impossible to drink from. After all, there is only one in the window and it is dusty at that. In addition to all this, it is ugly! Who even believes such a thing sells? It raises the important question – who designs this stuff? Are they aesthetically disabled? What other stuff are they foisting on the world? Perhaps the manufacturers and designers of these novelty dog-face stuff ...

Thanks Sydney.OutWilliamstown BeachStraya day at the beach, Clare and I rode the 20kms from Brunswick down to Williamstown, its quite a pretty ride.
