My one and only photo from the day, taken from the street outside my house . . . complete with light leaks and a church cross. I'm always amazed at how these pilots maneuver with such synchronicity while painting the sky with jet streams.  Thanks to the most recent followers for signing on and for all those that have visited. The blog is getting close to 1,500 clicks!X


Took a pack of polaroid 690 on a stroll today - a quiet Melbourne Cup day with hardly a car in sight. Walked four small blocks up to the local video store (will we ever get used to calling them DVD stores?) and by the time I had returned (with 8 weeklies and 3 overnighters) I'd finished the film.  I'm using this week - Roid week 2009 - to take a few more shots than I normally would. Snapping away with the knowledge that thousands of people around the world are doing the same thing - shooting polaroids for one week ...


goop-a-licious

Finally my first goops have emerged.Oh, the joy! And what is a goop? The 'other half' of peel-apart film - the delicious instant-photo by-product that should never be destined for a life as landfill. With a little TLC it can instead be nurtured to reach its full beauty and potential. You could easily fall in love with the goop more than the original photo, yes? It has that extra something... goop / negative original photo The purple-hue that you see is the natural shade of the goop from the particular film I used.
