Lygon st cycling
Saturday afternoon was frantic on Lygon st as regulars struggled to get cake and coffee while the streets were blocked off for the annual Jayco Herald Sun Tour cycling race. In previous years this was held on a weekday and provided a welcome escape for an hour or two from work when I worked in Carlton. Now that it’s on a weekend it was easy to walk up and watch for a while. I’m not a regular cycling fan but I do enjoy seeing live events. I think the person having the most fun was the police officer on the motorcycle - throwing a big bike around a tight circuit like this would be fun!
