Trippy Taco

collingwood

I’ve had my VJ friends staying on return from Wellington, where they attended X Media Lab. I love having visitors passing through that I can take out and entertain in Melbourne, and being vegetarians, I was keen to take them to vegetarian restaurants. We did the Moroccan Soup Bar, which was exceptional as always, and also went to Trippy Taco on Smith St. It’s a cute little place that makes delicious vegetarian Mexican food.

The Fairest Feed has a short review but there seems to be little blog action about Tripp Taco, and they deserve more! The taquitos (below) in particular were absolutely delicious. The beer was tasty (I have not had that brand before) and the hot chocolate rich and yummy. It comes highly recommended, and the staff are very friendly. Try the various chilli sauces!

I love Trippy Taco….the food is always lovely, fresh and tasty. I only wish it were around the corner on Gertrude street and I would lunch there more often.

yes I probably should do a proper review – seeing as I go there so often. it’s one of my top melbourne restaurants, hell even top australian restaurants, and their fries are in my dreams!
