Fitzroyalty - hyperlocal news and reviews about Melbourne’s first suburb: Fitzroy 3065 - is a local news and reviews site for Fitzroy residents and visitors. Read the about and hyperlocal pages for more information.

It features stories on the suburb of Fitzroy in Melbourne, Australia, and reflections on life from a socially libertarian, economically socialist, culturally anarchistic and radically individualistic point of view.

Hannah Murray at Gillian Grant gallery

collingwood

I was excited to be able to attend the opening of the Hannah Murray exhibition ‘Something to hold on to’ at Gillian Grant gallery in Collingwood 5 July 2008. I bought one of Murray’s works – Does anyone know a cute girl with pompoms – from the gallery in its previous incarnation as the 4 Cats gallery in Abbotsford. I’m very pleased to see how her work is becoming more focused and her aesthetic is becoming more distinct. I think she has a great future.
