no more erotic relaxation

On a recent trip to the Rose St Markets I passed this now former brothel. The sign is so matter of fact and sincere. I’d like to know what is going to happen to this building.

What I love most about this sign is that apparently it was the BUILDING that was providing “erotic relaxation”, not any employees of the business that operated in the building. :)

The building was bought by G Media, a local adult web site production company, where I worked as web developer and dev manager for a few years. It houses a video production suite and office space. Initially we chose not to put any notice up, figuring that the few months that the building was completely closed for refurbishment would be enough for patrons of the former business to work out that “exotic relaxation” was no longer on offer. We put the notice up after a few weeks of 2-3 doorknocks per day.

The building was bought by G Media, a local adult content production company, for extra office space and to house a video editing suite. I worked there for a few years as web development manager. Initially we made a conscious decision to not put a notice up as the building was completely closed for a few months for refurbishment and we figured that would be enough time for people to get the general idea. Turned out not to be the case.
