About Fitzroyalty

Fitzroyalty - hyperlocal news and reviews about Melbourne’s first suburb: Fitzroy 3065 - is a local news and reviews site for Fitzroy residents and visitors. Read the about and hyperlocal pages for more information.

It features stories on the suburb of Fitzroy in Melbourne, Australia, and reflections on life from a socially libertarian, economically socialist, culturally anarchistic and radically individualistic point of view.

"I hate almost everything you write yet I cannot look away. You’re better than [Andrew] Bolt." User comment.

Where the Dry Leaves Fall at Gorker gallery

fitzroy

Where the Dry Leaves Fall at Gorker gallery is an exhibition of delicate beauty and charm by artist Leah Bartholomew. Works in several media – giclée prints, wooden sculptures, watercolours and tissue collages – feature images in autumn colours of children at play, landscapes and the natural world. It finishes on 16 November so you better get there in time to see it! Opening night was well attended as usual, and I was not the only one to get there early enough to see the work and then go to Vibe to see Dave Callan at A mic in hand.
