Adam in space

I have always been confused by this mural on Charles St near cafe Rosamond. Yes, I get that it is referencing Michaelangelo’s Sistine Chapel painting of God creating Adam, but why?

hmm. well, the blank space beyond Adam’s finger tells us that there is no God and Adam’s lack of a pressure suit tells us that life is short?

Alternatively, you’ll note that the background is crowded with an impossibly large number of gas giants. Is this a clue that Adam’s “space” has different values for key physical constants? Could this be a reference to the “many worlds” hypothesis, which some people claim is the only possible alternative to intelligent design?
