to me, this looks like a Second Life reference – you touch spaces to teleport, action, etc… and many of them come in the form of advertisements.

Good theory – I found 2L fun for a few weeks but it quickly faded. Will 2009 see it enter the deadpool?

mmm, i doubt it’s SL specifically. ive been on/off there for 18 months (and completely over it now, as appear alot of its former faithful), and nothing about that particularly rings of SL to me. but yeah i’m curious what it comes from too (if anything). something about it is familiar tho…
