About Fitzroyalty

Fitzroyalty - hyperlocal news and reviews about Melbourne’s first suburb: Fitzroy 3065 - is a local news and reviews site for Fitzroy residents and visitors. Read the about and hyperlocal pages for more information.

It features stories on the suburb of Fitzroy in Melbourne, Australia, and reflections on life from a socially libertarian, economically socialist, culturally anarchistic and radically individualistic point of view.

"I hate almost everything you write yet I cannot look away. You’re better than [Andrew] Bolt." User comment.

the Evelyn hotel adds some colour

I love this is but am honest enough to admit my ignorance and say that I don’t know what it is – a flower, a bird, an insect? It appeared on the Brunswick St wall of the Evelyn hotel in late December 2008.

Update 21 January 2009: thanks to Blacklodge for identifying the artist – it is Cena7 from Brazil. There’s another example on the corner of Brunswick St. North and Scotchmer St. North Fitzroy.

And it’s illegal and done by someone who is also talented in the area of ‘tagging’

I never called it tagging, I said the guy also tags a lot. It puts to rest yours and many of your readers view’ s that all taggers are talentless hacks with nothing better to do.
It was also done on private property without consent which harps back to your argument in the post about the casio tag
