Third Drawer Down is an eclectic design shop that opened late last year on George St near the Lamington Drive gallery. It stocks unusual and esoteric items from the range of products the company designs for international museum and gallery shops. Director Abigail Crompton kindly gave me permission to take these photos and talked to me about the shop and the design business. With a secondhand bookshop a few doors down, this section of George St is emerging as an essential destination for people out exploring the wonders of Fitzroy.
The hand soaps and salt and pepper shakers are my favourite items.
