As much as I would love to have been able to visit some of my favourite Fitzroy places over the long weekend, I understand why hard working small business owners have chosen to take time off – it’s a rare chance to relax. The Newtown Social Club and the Rochester Castle hotel, pictured below, are two of the many closed businesses to post cute notices in their windows.
