returning to Wood Spoon Kitchen on Smith St
Bigger is not always better. My previous joy at eating at Wood Spoon Kitchen on Smith St has passed. They’ve expanded into the next shop and doubled their tables but have messed up the service and the experience in the process. I recommended it as the venue for a Friday night dinner with a friend as we had geek business to discuss and he had not tried it before. The Goma soup was still delicious, but the service was terrible.

We ordered drinks that never came until we reminded them about the order after 30 minutes, our meals took 45 minutes to arrive and attracting the attention of staff was impossible. The yummy cheesecake did not restore my confidence. Maybe they were having a bad day, but I don’t think I will be returning in a hurry.
