On the afternoon of Sunday 16 August Deb and Phibs were working on a replacement for their previous work on the Rose St side wall of Rich on the corner of Brunswick St. While their previous work was still in reasonable condition for its age it had been a target for graffiti vandalism and also a satirical critique.
They always draw a crowd curious to watch them at work, but the afternoon was interrupted by rain. I’m keen to see the finished product.

The wonderful mural in Rose street has been damaged by an ignorant builder. The residents have forced him to remove the horrible air conditioner motors he installed however the mural is sadly damaged. The mural is loved by people from countries all around the world. Many children are also photographed regularly as they are drawn to the fantasy world shown in the mural. Is it possible to have Deb and crew repair the mural. Thank you
