what is the best Indian restaurant in Fitzroy?

Earlier this year I posed the question what is the best Thai restaurant in Fitzroy? Sala Thai received the most votes and was declared the winner. Now I’m curious about what you think of the Indian restaurants in Fitzroy. Whenever I have an Indian craving I go straight to Fitz Curry and am always satisfied with the food and the friendly service, but I can’t say it’s my favourite as I have not tried all these places. Do you have a favourite?

Fitz, even when Guru was around. Was always a pleasure going early and watching my take away being made with such skill.

    Fitz is the best.

Bangla Sweets is pretty nice for their sweets, which vary in niceness according to personal taste. But their curry was sub par.

Which brings me back to saying,
    Fitz is the best.

Aahar. Their curries are always fresh and they don’t skimp on ingredients. The staff are very cordial. It is a shame it’s in such an average locale.

Tandoori Station – I definitely recommend this place.
I ate there with a friend when they just opened up. They didn’t have any alcohol license by this time and therefore offered us to get the lassis for free – AWESOME taste!
The food was delicious and a lot for the price with great texture and served by really really friendly staff.
Hmmm, damn. Now I’m hungry.. :)
