coffee and meat pie at the Grantville bakery
When riding to Phillip Island to watch the MotoGP race on Sunday 18 October I stopped at the Grantville bakery, as I do every year, for a very good flat white and a delicious meat pie. I usually start the day with a light breakfast of toast and coffee at home before getting on my bike, but the second breakfast of the day, at about 8.30 in the morning after having been on the road for 90 minutes, is the most satisfying. There’s never any bits in their meat pies, and the gravy is thick and rich without being too salty. And they’re very hot, which warms cold fingers.
