new restaurant for North Fitzroy

The vacant space formerly occupied by the green grocer on St George’s Rd near the Deco bar and Red Olive restaurant is soon to be filled by a new restaurant. The word on the street is that several chefs, recently departed from other high profile Melbourne restaurants, have come together to open this space. It will be interesting to see what niche it fills – I’m guessing something slightly more upmarket than what is around it, but perhaps not quite as slick as St Jude’s Cellars or Cutler and Co. Watch this space.
