lunch at CII cafe, A’Beckett St Melbourne

CII cafe / bar / restaurant is a secret that should not be a secret. Located on Abeckett St between Swanston and Elizabeth streets, CII serves breakfasts and Italian lunches with genuine warmth from the genial staff. I’ve had breakfast there a couple of times before or after picking up or dropping off my motorbike at a nearby service centre, and their bacon and eggs on toast is perfect for a winter morning.

Their prices are extremely modest and the coffee is good too. While enjoying one of the last days of my summer holiday I had lunch there solo simply for the pleasure of it. My five cheese pizza with hot salami and pesto was delicious. Wander off the main streets and reward your curiosity with a meal at CII.

Thanks, I realised when I went to go again earlier in the week. They were previously somewhere else in the city, so I wonder if they have moved again? This premises is now a generic Asian noodle place.
