croque monsieur at Jules bar, High St Northcote

Jules is a newish bar on the south end of High St Northcote in the Westgarth precinct. Vetti live in Northcote published the first review, and I was keen to try it for myself. I enjoyed a glass of a gentle but dry beaujolais (made from gamay, local versions include a good one from Mount Burrumboot Estate in Heathcote and an equally good one from Eldridge Estate from the Mornington Peninsula). And I indulged in a delicious croque monsieur with fries. Jules is lovely and comes highly recommended.
