breakfast at What About Food, Elgin St Carlton

What about Food (website, Facebook and Twitter) is a cafe that opened on the corner of Cardigan and Elgin streets in Carlton last year shortly after I stopped working in the area, and I forgot to go back! I remembered it at random the other day and determined to go there before I forgot again.

The corn, zucchini and coriander fritters with poached egg, bacon, oven roasted tomato and cucumber salsa are superb and the coffee is too. They seem to have their online marketing sorted, and they’ve received mostly positive reviews from Where’s the beef (first and second visits), Happiness is a warm gut and Ballroom blintz. I’ll be back.
