Fitzroy history – from home to cafe

These photos from the 1950s and 1960s show Osborne House at 40 Nicholson St. It began as a home and, with ongoing expansion and development, it became a boarding house by the end of the 19th century, then apparently a newsagent or small shop, and eventually the Garden View cafe.
