Fitzroy history – former Gore St church

This former church at the corner of Gore and Greeves streets was erected in 1859. According to the Australian Heritage Database, by the 1920s it had become a store and I’m not sure what it is used for now. Does anyone know?

  4. It was originally constructed by the ‘Bible Christians’ in about 1858, who, amongst other things, originated in Cornwall, were vegetarian, and had female preachers during the 19th century. The Bible Christian Sunday School Hall and associated Manse stand at 258 Gore St. and 260 Gore St. respectively.
