The notes for this photo state that it was commissioned by the Fitzroy Photographic Committee in 1986 and shows a former fruit shop that is now a private residence. Does anyone know who the Fitzroy Photographic Committee were?

With due respect to your photographic skills, isn’t the old photo pretty good. Looks like the building next door is still there and my, hasn’t the tree grown.
