Never mind the differing opinions about the proposed development behind the Vegie Bar on Rose St, it was the Herald Scum’s theft and misappropriation of an image from the planning documents that astounded me. The image on the Herald Scum site is simply credited ‘Herald Sun’, but this is a lie. It is from the urban planning report posted on the City of Yarra website (600kb .pdf).
The report is by Contour Consultants and is of course intellectual property protected by copyright. While the Scum can quote from it or reproduce the image legitimately for the purpose of reporting the news, it must acknowledge the source, which it has absolutely failed to do. Contour should take legal action.

We looked to buy this site. never would have thought you would get 6 storeys through especially considering what is around..and with no parking.. amazing.

it doesn’t mater where you chose to build your fucking ugly concrete box Tyrian, it’s still a disgraceful eyesore that happily pisses all over the character of the area and makes zero attempts to complement the surrounding area.

Kickz, we werent planning on building anything like “a concrete box” actually, i think what they planned is horrible. and as an interesting fact, when we first bought the tyrian site we actually employed a heritage expert to design something that would perfectly suit the area.. you know what the council said?? NO we want modern! all that effort for nothing. not all developers are scum..

and that’s why the keystone tenants are a chain cafe and 2 x beauticians.

Isn’t this post about the newspaper not quoting the correct source of an image?? “Never mind the differing opinions about the proposed development” obviously wasnt read by either Kickz or Tyrian Fitzroy before there comments.
