Hyperlocal news about Melbourne's first suburb: Fitzroy 3065

on fire

I don’t know what inspires the creator(s) of this paste-up on the side wall of Nevada Duffy on the corner of Gore St and Webb St, but I love it. It’s evidently by the same artist as this work from earlier this year. On the same wall as this new work was a previous one but had it been damaged before I could photograph it. An even older work was photographed by Vetti. Whereas the first one had no signature, this is signed ‘Garrett’ in black marker, so it’s not definite that this is the name of the artist, as it could have been added later by someone else. Does anyone know more?

  1. My favourite street artist in Fitzroy at the moment – I don’t know who they are either, though.

  2. Loving these so much – some of the most sartorially splendid pasteups I’ve ever seen! Surely someone must know more…Cheers for the link :)
