The property at 227 Smith St next to the ANZ bank is currently occupied by this discount women’s fashion shop. Long ago it was the premises of an undertaker.

Tori: Pip is a dirty girl

Friday night’s Tori Amos concert at the Sydney Opera House was absolutely brilliant. Pip opened and was suitably stunning in a yellow frock and shoes and her signature black rubber-look leggings. After playing her 6 numbers she gave the audience the finger, pulled up her dress to expose her rubber arse and walked off stage. But she didn’t play Teenage Hustling and I was bereft. Here’s a pic from Familiar.

When Tori returned to do the rest of the show she was fabulous in an emerald green sequined jumpsuit similar in cut to the gold one she wore in the first Melbourne show. And there was a priceless moment of political commentary when Tori Read the complete post...

Bimbo Deluxe has a great business model. Make good quality simple pizza and sell it for $4 on Sunday – Thursday nights to packed rooms of 20 and 30 somethings who will spend plenty on drinks while socialising and being fabulous in the company of other fabulous people.

Apart from allowing smoking in eating areas, both inside and out, the place is fantastic. The evening I was there was totally packed, and there were a few young blond women in frocks and fake tans amongst the more unkempt fitzroyalty.
