takeaway fish and chips from Ink

On a recent Sunday a friend and I confessed to each other about our occasional fish and chips craving, and I remembered that Ink seafood restaurant now has a casual front bar with eat in or take away fish and chips. In contrast to the exclusive and exorbitant celebration of Fitzroy’s 150 anniversary, to which the public was not invited, this time we have been invited to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Fitzroy swimming pool on 19 October 2008. Make sure you come along and get a sausage at the free BBQ to get something back from the rates you pay them each year.…

Ink seafood restaurant (single page site only, no menus Update 24 July 2008 – Ink now have a beautiful looking website with menus) is located on the corner of Alexandra Parade and Rae St in the southern border of North Fitzroy. Alexandra Parade divides Fitzroy and North Fitzroy and is not the greatest location for a restaurant – several lanes of constant traffic, no other entertainment venues on the same block and little passing foot traffic compared to Brunswick St or St George’s Rd.…
