Discussion is not approval. Of course I do not endorse either the ‘art’ or the tagging. I merely comment on the social meaning (if any) of it and the irony of taggers and street artists being so ironically precious about their own efforts and complaining about it being trashed while at the same time trashing the efforts of others. A bunch of sad muppets they are.

Taggers are very very thick. They don’t understand why most people hate them. One reason may be that they trash examples of actual street art with their barely literate attention deficit disorder tags. On Young St near Argyle St. The reference is to one of Vandal Spruce‘s videos. It seems like there’s plenty of hate to share around and Spruce in turn has been accused of overwriting others’ work. What goes around comes around…

The winner of the May 2011 ‘tell me where to go’ poll was the relatively newly renovated Rainbow hotel on Young St, and it won by 1 vote in the closest poll of the series to date. The Rainbow received 32 (out of 141) votes, with the Spanish Club on Johnston St just behind on 31 votes and the Korean restaurant Goshen on Smith St on 30 votes.
A quick read of the menu made me salivate for the wagyu burger with smoked cheddar cheese and onion relish, and it is superb – fat, juicy and with fantastic chips.…
