Now the space is Strange Neighbour gallery, and their first exhibition opens on 21 June at 6pm.

I’m curious whether Strange Neighbour will bring the crowds as Gorker did in 2009, when I enjoyed some great exhibitions but also suspected that many people were there for the free beer and the party atmosphere, not the art.…

I tried to go last weekend but they were full on Saturday morning and I was more successful on Tuesday at lunchtime.

While the breakfast side of the menu looks good I was more interested in some of the lunch dishes, including the ‘Ned Kelly’ – rosemary polenta with mushrooms and poached eggs.…

There was much consernation amongst my friends with the demise of the orignal Builders Arms back room, complete with soggy carpet and disco ball. Daggy dancing is being pushed aside for yuppie dining in many inner city premises. It’s taken me some time to try the new fine dining room, but I finally made a booking last Friday night.…
