I visted Byron Bay recently for the first time and loved the beach and the colours of the place. From the top down: the lizard living in the garden of our rented apartment, main beach, breakfast at the Byron Beach cafe behind Clarke’s beach, a ladybug, felafel and hummus from Orgasmic foods on Bay Lane, bikes and beer are two of the most common things in town, a plum coloured Renault 12 (definitely not an original colour) and delicious old school pizza with wholemeal bases from Earth ‘n’ Sea on Byron St.…

lunch at Go Hun Thai in Sydney

While on a quick trip to Sydney I ate at Go Hun, which is not an anti-German organisation but a busy lunchtime Thai cafe in North Ryde where I a surprisingly good lunch recently. My eggplant with basil and chicken mince and rice was under $10, quickly prepared and delicious. Most people get takeaway but there are a few bar seats inside as well. I don’t have anything else positive to say about North Ryde, but Food around Macquarie Uni also likes Go Hun.…
