Last week I passed along Gore St and saw an artist working on a large mural just south of Johnston St, and I made a mental note to return. It is an unusual mural by Makatron featuring nearby landlmarks like the Collingwood grain silos, perhaps in recognition that they are being redeveloped into apartments. Another curiosity is what looks like a promotion for the WordPress CMS, which he uses for his site.

This is a fabulous work by Makatron on the Kerr St wall of the Ministry of Style techno clothing shop on the corner of Brunswick St. I am always impressed by how he can capture expression and emotion in a few lines of a creature’s face.
