A young male student opined that Austen was clearly bourgeois rubbish, and believed he could smite ...

Devastated

I went on a little op shopping mission with Beccasaurus last week, where she spotted this magnificent vintage dress. We're both a similar size, but I have quite narrow shoulders so it was more likely to fit me (OK, I admit that I might have been doing a happy dance in my head that it was more likely to fit me - sorry Bec). It's been sitting on my kitchen bench ever since, so I thought it was about time to try it on (with the intention of wearing it to the market today).........and now I want to cryIt fits ...

Busy Busy

Phew!Between leaving home for work yesterday morning and then arriving back home after the Northern Craft Bonanza lastnight, blogland had been super busy. I quickly read through the more than one hundred posts in my google reader (sorry I didn't stop to say hi anywhere, but I had to get to bed at a reasonable hour).Today I'll be packing my bags for my final market of the month. I'm sharing a stall with Annmarie from Map 29 at the Made'n'Thornbury Market tomorrow, so it should be a lovely fun day out. It's a bit different this month. The hall is being ...

On the drawing board this week is a project that has been on the cards for quite some time.....Patchwork cushions.I've been saving up the offcuts from my souvenir tea towel stools till I had a healthy stash worthy of bundling together for a cushion or four!I tend to work in color blocks so decided that was the way to go. I ended up with oranges, blues, reds and greens, all my favorites.I have plenty more to make but I thought 4 was a nice amount to have ready for my stall on Saturday at Sisters Market.Do pop by if you're ...

LIKE A TIGER!

Wow - what a start to the year. First I was in Japan for Xmas and and New Years. That was amazing being immersed in snow for those 4 weeks. I also managed a hoop class with Deanne in Tokyo at Fab studio's. I learnt alot, especially how to start dancing in the hoop and enjoying instead of always focusing on tricks! Plus I learnt a few extra tips on tricks. I also discovered I like snowboarding. Snowy, hoopy fun. We came back to Australia and basically had to turn around and get ready for the Rainbow Serpent festival where ...
