Michael and I spent Saturday afternoon at the Applecore Backyard Festival with some friends. According to their website, the Peacock Inn;"was built in 1854 by Horace and Edwin Bastings. The following year they sold it to the 21-year-old George Plant. Plant was to become synonymous with the Peacock, holding the license until his death in 1895. His widow, Catherine then took over the hotel license until 1910."

Northside Makers are thrilled to offer members our first workshop opportunity doing screenprinting at Olive Grove!Classes are run by the director of Olive Grove Studio, Roze Elizabeth. She teaches at RMIT's Fashion & Textiles school and recently conducted a workshop for Marysville residents as part of 'The Colour of Hope' project.Roze offers monthly workshops at Olive Grove Studio teaching the basics of screenprinting. The workshops are ideal for both absolute beginners and those who've screenprinted before but want to polish up their skills.
