The Office for Postgraduate Research and VU Postgraduate Association are calling for expressions of interest for the 3-Minute Thesis Competition (3MT). The event will be held in mid-August (date, location and prize money to be announced shortly). You are required to present a compelling three minute speech on your thesis topic and its significance, using one Powerpoint slide. The winner will represent VU at the Inaugural Australia and New Zealand competition, hosted by the University of Queensland (UQ) on Tuesday 21 September 2010. VU is pleased to present the 8th Asia-Oceania Symposium on Fire Science and Technology (AOSFST). This Symposium constitutes the triennial event of Asia-Oceania Symposium on Fire Science and Technology. The most recent AOSFST held in Australia was in September 2001 in Newcastle. Holding the next AOSFST in Melbourne at VU is a fitting tribute to the significant contribution that members of the research group in the Centre for Environmental Safety and Risk Engineering (CESARE) have made to fire science.
